Master Paul Giffen has been studying Martial Arts for over 15 years and set up
his own Tang Soo Do academy in 2001. Since first setting up Giffens Tang Soo Do,
Master Giffen has been traveling the world learning from some of the best instructors
around the globe, constantly learning new arts, ideas and techniques to keep improving
his own ability and that of his students.

The Giffens Tang Soo Do philosophy is to never stay still, constantly learning and testing
all aspects of Martial Arts to improve yourself.

Shaun Hughes
2nd Dan Tang Soo Do

Shaun started training with Master Giffen when he first opened Giffens Tang Soo Do in 2001.

Since becoming a Black Belt in 2006, Shaun set up the second of the Giffens Tang Soo Do
classes in Hampton Hargate, Peterborough with Lizzie Giffen. Shaun and Lizzie both instruct
the class which has now been running for over 2 years.
The Hampton Hargate class also teaches the Little Dragons program.

Lizzie Giffen
2nd Dan Tang Soo Do

Lizzie Giffen first started Tang Soo Do as support for Master Giffen when he first opened his
academy in 2001.

From that first lesson, like many others, Lizzie became hooked on the teaching techniques of
Master Giffen and has been training ever since. Lizzie also instructs with Shaun at the
Hampton Hargate classes.

Paul Salmon
1st Dan Tang Soo Do
Advanced Level Ki Do

Paul Salmon has been training with Master Giffen for over 5 years.

Having passed his Black Belt test in February 2008, is now instructing along side Charlotte
at Giffens Tang Soo Do in Orton Waterville.

Charlotte Thornthwaite
1st Dan Tang Soo Do

Charlotte started studying martial arts 6 years ago and has been training under Master Giffen
for 3 years.

After gaining her Black Belt in November 2007, Charlotte is now instructing along side Paul
at Giffens Tang Soo Do in Orton Waterville.

Emily Giffen
1st Dan Tang Soo Do

Emily Giffen first started Tang Soo Do when she was aged just 7 years old and has been since
that first lesson.

Emily has gone on to earn her Black Belt grade at the age of 11 and is currently the youngest
Black Belt grade at Giffens Tang Soo Do.

Emily now helps to run the Little Dragons Program at Giffens Tang Soo Do.
